Welcome to the Sun Lakes Rock, Gem & Silver Club
Here you’ll meet new friends who are active folks (just like yourselves) who just want to have fun making some creative stuff with their hands! You need no background in art or previous experience – just a willingness to try something new. The club offers instruction, so release your inner artist!
1) Join the club
2) Take a class (or two)
3) Want to continue with the craft? Purchase an open shop pass
4) Be Creative all year!
Schedules, fees, classes, and shop times are posted on this website and on all shop doors. Shop locations: Sun Lakes CC by the east parking lot, Cottonwood by the library, and Oakwood by the Patrol Office.
Most of your questions will be answered here, but you are welcome to call the chairperson or instructor in charge of your chosen art form. You will find their information either on the Contact page or the Shop Schedules page.
The Sun Lakes Rock, Gem & Silver Club is more than just rocks, gems and silver. We offer classes in a variety of art forms:

Learn Something New
All are welcome to attend our monthly meetings to learn more about the club, its class offerings, and to talk with instructors. General Meetings are held on the third Monday, October-April, at 10am in the CLC Steve Nolan Lecture Hall at Cottonwood Country Club. Arrive a little early so you can talk with the instructors and sign up for classes.
The Sun Lakes Rock Gem and Silver Club is always in need of volunteers! Volunteers are what keeps our Club moving along! This year we will have open Board positions, instructor positions, or just being able to help set up the room before meetings. We can use help at the membership table, raffle table, the auction table, social events, keeping the labs stocked with brochures and requisition forms, assisting instructors—you name it, we can find you a big or little job.
